The Trusts and Estates Manager will serve as the point of first contact between Brown and estates (and trusts) that make distributions to Brown. It is responsible for continuing oversight of those relationships. In addition, this position is responsible for the preparation of documentation for charitable gift annuities and pooled income fund gifts and for managing Brown's relationship with all of its life-income donors and beneficiaries. This position serves as Brown's primary liaison with the custodian of our planned giving assets.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal (legal assistant) certification plus 2 to 3 years of directly related experience (legal, commercial trust services, etc.), or 4 to 5 years experience directly related experience (legal, commercial trust services, etc.). Previous experience and demonstrated ability in trust and estate administration required. Working knowledge of related laws and procedures required. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Research and analytical skills required. Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to balance multiple priorities. Working knowledge of the Windows environment, Microsoft Excel, Word and electronic mail required. Experience with PGCalc products (Planned Giving Manager; Gift Wrap) preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills needed.
