This position performs the following activities within the Corporate Accounting & Finance organization:* Monthly accounting close activities - review and correct preliminary corporate staff department expenses* Preparation of working capital reports, structural cost expense analysis/report, recurring production expense analysis/report and corporate staff department reports* Review and transmission of monthly forecast to parent company* Assembly and distribution of monthly bluebook, including the preparation of certain consolidation reports* Reconciliation of certain bank accounts* Reconciliation of certain balance sheet accounts, include P-card reconciliation* Maintain accounting for the Arkema Foundation* Preparation of certain government reporting forms* Support the administration of the budget process. Assist in preparation of budget consolidations, budget backup information and corporate allocations for G&A, pension, insurance and depreciation costs* Working with BU financial managers and analysts to coordinate the reporting of off balance sheet commitments* Coordinate with external auditors to provide information requested, including management representation letters* Ad hoc financial reporting
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:* BS degree in Accounting or Finance* 0-1 Years of Accounting/Finance Experience* Strong technical accounting education* Self-starter with an inquisitive nature, aptitude to quickly learn and ability to assimilate and apply new concepts* Technical aptitude regarding operating systems and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly* Strong Microsoft Excel skills OR working towards developing such skills
