This individual will plan, develop and coordinate company-wide learning services to include the effective operation of the Learning Management System. This full-time position is located within Woodbridge, VA Home Office and is assigned to the Human Resources Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, organize and conduct on boarding training for all new employees in group settings on a regular basis using virtual technology and/or live platform delivery.

Plan, organize and conduct large and small group sessions using live and/or webinar platforms on company-wide initiatives, including systems, managerial, or soft skills training.

Support the Learning Management System (LMS) implementation with roles and permissions management, reporting, and the deployment of new functionality within the company.

Develop (adapt, update or purchase) and implement instructional curriculum that meets employee learning needs for Face to Face training, synchronous or asynchronous delivery modes using industry-standard ISD methodologies and organizational quality standards.

Coordinate vendor support and budgets to support the company-wide learning services.

Assists with other HR-related systems and databases (e.g. applicant tracking, survey tools) for the effective and integrated operation of the Department. This support may include, but is not limited to, reporting, page set ups, surveys, social media and e-mail communications.

Assists with other HR Department teamwork as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in training and development, education, or related field plus two years related experience in training and development.

Two years of experience organizing and delivering (live and virtual classroom) training for managers and employees in small and large groups.

Two years of experience managing a Learning Management System (e.g., Learn.com, Taleo, Refined Data, Blackboard.com, Skillsoft.com) or similar system (content/knowledge system).

Proficiency in using technology resources for communication and project completion.

Demonstrated knowledge in the application of adult learning principles in the delivery of training and development services.

Experience working in cross-functional project teams.

Experience in curriculum development and/or instructional design specifically the ADDIE model accepted by the National Association of Training and Development.

Proficiency using LMS and Microsoft Office 2007-2010 required.

Proficiency in using Adobe eLearning suite, Articulate, and Camtasia software experience strongly preferred.

Experience with social media (FaceBook, LinkedIn, etc) preferred.

Member of ASTD and certifications as a learning professional (CLP) preferred.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, executives, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
