The County seeks a progressive and effective leader to head the County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor's Office. The Office has four divisions: County Clerk, Recorder, Assessor and Registrar of Voters. The position is responsible for ensuring these divisions provide the
related services to the
community which include: filing and recording a wide variety of
legal documents, appraising and assessing real, business, and personal property;
collecting and accounting transfer taxes; issuing and
registering marriage licenses; issuing birth, death and
marriage certificates;
performing marriage
ceremonies; maintaining voter registration files and
conducting federal, state and local elections, etc. Key
objectives include developing strategic initiatives, evaluating policies and processes, and
utilizing technology to improve
efficiencies and service
delivery. Candidates must meet the statutory requirements for the position and the ideal
candidate will have direct,
related knowledge and
