Sr. Systems Analyst

Position Summary Description:
The Senior Systems Analyst reviews, analyzes, tests, and implements applications utilizing object oriented analysis and project management processes in a variety of Information Technology applications. Coordinates/controls several implementation projects and/or implements extremely complex projects. Analyzes requirements, develops project plans, test application programs for improved productivity enterprise wide, and provides highest level of application support and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for a technologist with 10+ years of experience, who has transitioned into Analyst role from pure hands-on coding, to step in as a productive contributor and innovator to a growing team.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
B.S. or B.A required, preferred in Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of experience with the implementation of large scale web applications that include customer contact centers, sales, marketing and customer analysis.
4 + years experience integrating Web applications with business and partner applications, preferably through a middleware, SOA type solution.
Excellent open and proactive written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in team-oriented environment.
Ability to work in matrix managed environment
Ability to influence and lead others (i.e. Project Manager and project teams)
Demonstrated logic and programming knowledge with tools such as Java, VB, etc.
Familiarity with SCRUM and agile analysis techniques
Strong background in Web Application Development – prior hands on coding experience required
Proven Analytical Skills
Strong customer service orientation.
Basic Qualifications :
Gather and formally document system requirements
Work with 3rd Party Vendors and development teams to ensure technical requirements and constraints are understood and followed
Model business processes to understand current systems along with their informational content in order to propose new processes that are either more efficient/effective.
Assist with application testing
Some minimal development activities may be required to assist with problem resolution and/or product testing
Track and provide reporting with regard to scope, progress, risks and issues
Outline implementation plans of technical solutions for timing, pricing and resourcing
Potentially lead, facilitate or serve on, cross-functional teams to translate business needs and technology directions into project plans and specifications
Perform problem root cause analysis of production issues
Acts as point of effective control over coordination, communication, escalation, and follow up for issues
Participate in management and technical reviews as required to keep management informed of progress
Work within multiple technical environments/infrastructures
Gather and quantify risks of major projects and initiatives, and perform ad hoc analysis as needed
Assist with developing project plans/timeliness of solutions for business problems/opportunities with technology. May assume ‘ownership' of these projects or pass ownership to appropriate IT Project Manager.
Communicate often and regularly to project stakeholders with regard to project status
Keep abreast of project status in order to communicate with clients effectively
Qualifications\Skills
10+ years of experience with the implementation of large scale web applications that include customer contact centers, sales, marketing and customer analysis.
