Job Summary: The University of St. Thomas, Department of Human Resources, seeks an HR Partner.

The University seeks a talented and well-credentialed HR professional to provide consultative services for employees and managers in designated academic and administrative units on human resources strategies. These include employee relations, organizational change, conflict resolution, performance management, staffing and recruitment, strategic planning, organization development, and policy. The incumbent collaborates with university managers to diagnose organizational challenges and propose effective solutions with an eye toward Best Practices. This position works closely with the Associate Vice President for Human Resources in developing and aligning human resources processes and solutions with the business needs of multiple partnering groups.
Successfully completing a criminal background check is a condition of employment for this position.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and minimum five years of professional level experience in a multi-discipline Human Resources Management environment plus experience in the following areas: staffing, employee relations, conflict resolution, and organizational development. PHR or SPHR certification required. Master's degree and prior higher education experience highly preferred.

He or she also must possess the following qualities and skills: excellent problem solving and analytical skills, ability to interpret and apply university policies and relevant state and federal employment laws, a high degree of integrity, strong interpersonal and communication skills (writing, oral and listening), excellent customer service skills, and demonstrated flexibility and commitment to building and sustaining strong business relationships.
