About Us:
Xobni is located in San Francisco, CA (with offices in the city and Palo Alto) and is backed by substantial venture funding from Khosla Ventures, First Round Capital, Ron Conway and Baseline Ventures, Atomico Investments, Y Combinator and several angel investors.
Xobni is quickly expanding and we're looking for a Server Engineer / Web Architect who can help lay the foundation for our growing server team. Ideally you've worked with LAMP, live and breathe a flavor of Linux, and know how to structure code in a team setting.
This is a high growth opportunity position and it will be challenging.
Responsibilities:
Implement and deliver browser based applications using DHTML/Javascript/Flash.
Define and architect new products using Xobni's cloud APIs.
Surface social networking data to users in interesting ways.
Help maintain and enhance Xobni for Gmail and other Xobni web properties.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience as a software developer (internships count)
2+ years with Javascript/DHTML/CSS and or Flash/Flex
2+ years experience working on a RIA team of 3 or more.
2+ years experience with JQuery
You must believe that test driven development is good.
Project Management Skills demonstrated by the ability to break down larger tasks (2 man months) into smaller ones and then deliver on time while tracking progress.
Knowledge of APT, Python, Javascript, Memcached, JSON, ORMs, WSGI and ROR is a plus
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar/relevant field preferred
