  • SUMMARY: The eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR Implementation Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing the eCW Electronic Medical Record (EMR) / Electronic Health Record (EHR) training program for Seton Medical Group and Physician Specialty Practices Groups Health Information Technology (HIT). The training program includes eClinicalWorks Electronics Health Records, eCW add on applications and other St Agnes Healthcare applications that are critical for users. These mission-critical systems require on-going training at various levels to ensure the users are optimizing system functionality.

    The EMR Implementation Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the implementation, including documenting workflow processes, project communications, technical analysis and design testing, and final implementation. Developing, planning, and customizing training strategies to ensure a smooth and successful launch of the software are also integral responsibilities. A primary purpose of this position is to ensure users are appropriately trained as they work towards achieving “meaningful use” of HIT.

    The EMR Implementation Analyst will work in various healthcare settings (e.g., Seton Medical Group practices, Physician Specialty Practices, OB/GYN, etc.) in customizing and configuring the various features of eCW EMR system. This position will also provide daily support and be a resource to the AHIS helpdesk and support staff in resolving user issues related to system use and/or functionality.

    Essential functions : –

    Works closely with the EMR trainers to develop and continuously update training materials for various training sessions (Orientation, Advanced, Refresher classes, Helpful Hints, Frequently Asked Questions); –

    Coordinates and works with the EMR trainers to conduct classroom style training for users; –

    Works with the EMR trainers to conduct one-on-one training sessions with users as needed; –

    Conducts observations of users in their environment to identify areas for improvement and suggestions for workflow redesign; –

    Maintains knowledge of St Agnes Healthcare’s standard configurations and practice specific templates and customization; –

    Provides onsite training and issue resolution support at Seton Medical Group, Physician Specialty Practice Group and OB/GYN practices and other provider facilities; –

    Serves as primary resource to AHIS’s helpdesk and support staff in ticket resolution; –

    Provides user interface support for new EHR implementations; –

    Assists with coordinating requests by all practices using eCW for system modifications and enhancements; –

    Customizes and configures eCW to support physician practice sites workflow and clinical best practices; –

    Evaluates and analyzes eCW features and functionality for problem resolution; –

    Maintains an issue knowledgebase to document specific training issues related to the application; –

    Accounts for various learning styles by using conceptual and practical understanding of various training techniques: –

    Documents workflow design and identify areas for improvement; –

    Demonstrates knowledge of industry best practices related to patient flow and staffing roles: –

    Performs other duties within the scope of this position as assigned.

    Required Education: BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited four year college or university.

    Required Experience: Three (3) years of health care experience in a health care setting. Three-five years of training experience with an EHR system
