Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California seeks a forward thinking, sincere and high energy leader for their next Chief Executive Officer. The mission of RMHCSC is to provide comfort, care and support to children and families in Southern California. This mission is expressed through five Ronald McDonald Houses in Los Angeles, Loma Linda, Orange County, Pasadena and Bakersfield (soon-to-be six with another House under development in Long Beach); Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times; and two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. Covering a nine-county area in Southern CA, it is the largest chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities with total assets exceeding $50 million and an annual operating budget of more than $10M.

Reporting to the Board of Directors of RMHCSC, the CEO provides overall leadership to the entire organization, including strategic direction, operations, financial management, marketing, fundraising, public/community relations, program development, and human resources management. Leading candidates will embrace the mission of RMHCSC and invest themselves in the vision and goals of the organization. The CEO should have experience that demonstrates leadership in the management of complex and dynamic organizations in the process of growth. Although it is possible that the successful candidate will have successful leadership experience in the management of an organization serving children and families, it is also highly likely that the individual will come from another career background in the nonprofit sector. A demonstrated success in fundraising will be crucial. Successful experience in general management, marketing, human resources management, accounting and finance, and board/volunteer relations is important. He/She will have the flexibility to travel throughout the Chapters geographic territory.
