PURPOSE:
  • Provides the administrative services necessary to support the processing of all the aspects of agent compensation for life and annuity lines of business

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensures commissions and bonuses, are paid timely and accurately by following established procedures, including;
    • chargeback’s to the agents’ accounts
    • processing different types of agents’ reimbursements
    • entering and adjusting commission information
    • processing a variety of manual adjustments
  • Responsible for handling basic agent compensation inquiries for core new business systems.
  • Follows established financial and internal controls when processing financial transactions
  • Serves as an overflow for the Solutions (phone/e-mail inquiries) team. Responding to agents/KDP’s appropriately within approved time standards.
  • Responsible for processing basic inbound work items related to agent compensation. They include but not limited to: Garnishment, Levies, Returned Agent Checks and Deceased Agents
  • Participates as a team member in team problem-solving and decision making to improve efficiency of team and ensure achievement of team and department goals.

    QUALIFICATIONS For Level I:
  • High school degree required
  • College degree preferred

EXPERIENCE For Level I:
  • Minimum of two years of Compensation/Commission, Accounting and/or Insurance Operations experience within the Life Insurance or Annuity industry
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use verbal or written methods, while explaining intermediate to complex concepts and processes to a diverse customer base
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize several responsibilities and work in a time intensive customer service environment
  • Knowledge of Aviva products preferred
  • Basic to intermediate level ability to navigate through computer systems (internal databases) with minimal assistance required
  • Basic to intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
QUALIFICATIONS For Level II:
  • High school degree required
  • College degree preferred
    · Continuing education (LOMA, Classes, Seminars) preferred
EXPERIENCE For Level II:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the Compensation area within the Life Insurance or Annuity industry and/or two (2) years of commercial collection experience.
  • Technical expertise and diverse knowledge of agent compensation and/or commercial collection systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of Aviva products strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize several responsibilities and work in a time intensive customer service environment.
  • Computer system usage aptitude to be proficient in department specific systems such as FASAT.
