Due to our rapid growth and expansion in RTP, North Carolina, we are looking to hire a Human Resources Manager for our facility in RTP. This position will be the sole HR representative in RTP and will provide Human Resources support to the RTP site including employee relations, performance management, training, safety programs and worker’s compensation, and compliance with various federal and state laws and regulations. Additionally, the position will be responsible for maintaining site specific policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Human Resource support including employee relations, performance management, training, safety programs and worker’s compensation, and compliance with various federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Coach managers on employee relation issues including disciplinary actions, investigations, terminations, performance evaluations, employee growth, and communications regarding company changes in senior management
  • Develop, recommend, implement, and interpret policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook
  • Assist Compensation and Benefits Manager with analyzing, negotiating, recommending and implementing benefits programs for RTP site
  • Assist with job descriptions and compensation structure
  • Partner with compensation, managers and recruiters on position titles, compensation, and site specific issues
  • Create and conduct trainings and manage required trainings
  • Manage leave of absences process
  • Assist with HRIS and performance management systems for RTP site

Job Requirements

The Ideal Candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
  • PHR or SPHR preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible HR experience, must include employee relations, active coaching and advising management, and supervising
  • Experience in clinical laboratory, biotechnology or life sciences industry preferred
  • Computer proficiency – MS Windows, MS Office
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS; preferably ADP and SuccessFactors
  • Knowledge of HR related laws and regulations required
  • Skill in coaching and advising managers and employees
  • Working knowledge of variety of aspects of HR (compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, worker’s compensation, etc.)
