Minimum qualifications for medical faculty are a doctoral degree from an accredited school, successful completion of an accredited residency program, and Board certification or eligibility, if applicable, in the area of specialization. Completion of a Fellowship, either clinical or research, in an area related to the field of specialization is desirable. Faculty rank will depend on training, experience and professional achievement. Georgia medical licensure, D.E.A. registration, and malpractice insurance coverage must be obtainable. The candidate must be able to demonstrate legal status permitting him/her to work under applicable United States immigration laws.
