Service Advisor Duties

Taking a lead role in coordinating activities of the Service Advisor including;

• Scheduling vehicle check-in’s for work being requested by vehicle owners
• Contact authorized vehicle owners to obtain their approvals for vehicle repair work
• Contacting clients when vehicle work is completed
• Setting up maintenance appointments for clients

Fleet Garage Support Duties

Taking a lead role in coordinating activities of the Fleet Garage Receptionist including;

• Directs incoming and out-going mail
• Answers all incoming phone calls and exercises diplomacy, resourcefulness, tact
and directs them to the appropriate area
• Handles all incoming visitors and directs them to the appropriate staff members
• Provides some letter correspondences as assigned by your manager
• Types/proofs documents, letters and reports
• Organizes/maintains files
• Copies/mails letters and reports
• Records staff meetings/notes
• Updates fleet vehicle contacts
• Provides Administrative support in the event the Administrator is absent
• Orders office supplies and equipment
• Provides non-technical information and responds to inquiries from visitors or staff
• Direct mailing to clients for plate renewals, warranty work
• Notify and track all recall correspondences
• Performing miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Ability to operation computerized vehicle maintenance programs such as, Reynolds and Reynolds
• Knowledge of the applicable regulatory requirements of the organization serviced
• Ability to deal effectively with persons representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view
• Display high standards of ethical conduct by exhibiting honesty and integrity while scrupulously avoiding unethical, dishonest, and theft-related behavior
• Works and communicates with internal and external clients and customers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner. Committed to quality service
• Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. Works with minimal supervision. Demonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail

• Expresses information to individuals and groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information. Listen to others and responds appropriately
• Knowledge of the less complex mechanical components of automotive equipment
• Knowledge of routine maintenance requirements of automobiles and trucks
• Ability to understand and execute written and oral instructions
• Ability to maintain simple records

NOTE: Possession of a valid IA Driver License is required at the time of appointment

Minimum Qualifications
No specific education and experience is required. Possession of a valid Iowa driver’s license is required.
