SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Analyst II is responsible for performing complex or involved analysis in situations where independent data gathering, requirements definition, selection of analytical methodologies, and/or data presentation is required. This position is also responsible for analysis that requires optimization and/or balancing multiple quantitative and qualitative considerations. This position is responsible for effectively reporting results to business stakeholders through verbal, written, or formal presentation modes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities of this position can vary considerably, depending upon the analyst’s specific focus area.
Support decision-making and the improvement of critical processes including Production Scheduling, Materials Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory Planning, Capacity Planning, Transportation Planning, and Distribution Resource Planning.
Conduct cross-functional Supply Chain analysis and decision-making where the modeling of flows, inventory levels, and cost of manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and inventory is involved.
Develops capabilities of the organization including mentoring junior analysts, contributing to discussions of data structures and system requirements, and contributing to discussions of priorities and best use of internal resources.
OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:
Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, business, or related field required. Masters degree in business, operations research, or related field preferred.
5 years of experience in a related role.
Flexible and able to work in a rapidly changing environment. Must be able to push forward on projects, even when all of the requirements have not been defined.
Detailed and deadline-orientated to meet regular and periodic needs of the business for accurate and timely information. Must demonstrate capability of thoroughly reviewing and sense-checking results so that analysis is right the first time.
Aptitude to understand the broader business contexts of the coffee industry, the beverage industry, and GMCR’s different sales channels; and the ability to judge what considerations (cost, service levels, lead times, etc.) are most important within those contexts.
Capable of independently performing complex analysis where data gathering, working with internal and external stakeholders, selection of analytical methods, and synthesizing many quantitative and qualitative inputs is required.
Ability to clearly present results to business stakeholders through a variety of modes. Must be able to create a professional presentation of results, including determining results-first or results-last approaches, ability to construct results that “tell a story”, and ability to lead an audience to the proper conclusions or decisions relevant to the situation.
Strong analytical capabilities including advanced knowledge of Excel and demonstrated competence with data structures/SQL, statistical functions, linear programming, and process simulation techniques.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills, including knowledge of operations tools and concepts such as DMAIC, Lean Manufacturing, and the Theory of Constraints.
Ability to work with teams, cross-functionally, and contribute positively in projects.
Ability to uphold Safety standards, participate in Continuous Process Improvement on the job, and follow Manufacturing best practices.
Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
Ability to follow GMCR policies and procedures as well as our operating principles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
