Title: Software Developer

Position: Full Time

Level: Research Engineer/Scientist I/II

Primary Location: San Diego, CA

Travel Required: Travel 10% to 20% CONUS and HI

Lab: Cyber Technology and Information Security Lab (CTISL)

Reporting To: C2 Mission Assurance Division

Job Description: This position is responsible for designing, coding and testing of secure web application software. Candidates must enjoy working with web services; large data solutions; and cutting edge technologies. Candidates will contribute to sponsored research projects and have an opportunity to interact with other scientists and engineers. Requirements

Education: BS Science, Technology, Engineering or Math Curriculum required. MS Science, Technology, Engineering or Math Curriculum desired.

Experience: 4 to 6 years working on DoD software development projects with emphasize on web services and developing analytics and visualization solutions for large data sets

Skills: Ideal candidate will possess strong communication, presentation, and writing skills. Candidate should have a proven track record of being a problem solver and team player who is capable of working in a technically challenging environment. Should also possess the ability to work as part of a collegial team with familiarity of Scrum and Agile development processes. Preferred candidate will be strong in one or more of the following: data ingest; large data analytics; and data visualization. Java, JavaScript, and Web Services coding skills required.

Preferred skills include: Knowledge of Navy network operations and cyber environments; Ozone Widget Framework (OWF) experience; RDBMS experience; Red Hat Enterprise Linux expertise. Familiarity with Accumulo; Hadoop; Zookeeper; and MapReduce a plus.

Other: Candidate must be a US citizen capable of holding a Top Secret DoD Security clearance. A minimum active secret clearance is required.
