The candidate must be comfortable designing system architectures, implementing system components, and identifying and correcting deficiencies. The candidate will have had exposure to advanced analysis procedures such as identifying performance issues, increasing efficiencies, etc. REQUIRED SKILLS *Leadership *Demonstrated experience leading a team of engineers to solve complex problems *Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and contribute beyond basic responsibilities *Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions *Strong initiative and desire to mentor team members in technical development *Ability to communicate with technical team members, managers, and customers *Technical skills Strong ability to grasp new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and interaction with other team members *Extensive experience with web infrastructure, distributed systems, databases, performance analysis (hardware and software), and enterprise application integration Experience with file systems, server architectures, and high-*throughput computing infrastructures *Database modeling techniques, particularly ER and UML diagrams *Java, SQL, and XML Expertise in database programming and performance tuning techniques in a RDBMS or NoSQL environment *Data warehousing techniques (OLAP, OLTP) * Great debugging and reasoning skills * Linux knowledge (Ubuntu), Windows PREFERRED SKILLS Technical skills *Groovy, Grails, and C/C++ *Spring, Hibernate, and Tomcat * Agile and continuous integration *Understanding of network protocols such as 802.3, 802.11, 802.16, cellular 2.5G, 3G, 4G * Troubleshooting from the Linux command line using BASH scripting *CentOS/RHEL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS • BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar • MS in one of the above disciplines is a plus CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS The applicant must have an active TS/SCI security clearance. Polygraph is a plus. U.S. citizenship is required.       Qualifications
