ENFORCEMENT & COMPLIANCE FIELD OFFICER TRAINEE
(underfilling ECD Full Authority Field Officer)
Work Location: Glendale, Enforcement, 16380 N 59th Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85306
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Must have a High School Diploma or successful completion of a General Education Development (G.E.D.) examination. High School education must be noted on resume to receive appropriate credit.
SPECIAL SELECTION FACTORS: Prior to attending a police academy and/or receiving AZ P.O.S.T (Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board) certification, a person shall meet the following minimum qualifications:
* Must be a citizen of the United States
* Must be a minimum of 21 years of age at the time of AZ P.O.S.T Academy Graduation
* Must successfully pass a complete background investigation, medical examination and polygraph examination that meets the standards of AZ P.O.S.T
* Must not have been convicted of a felony (or any offense that would be a felony if committed in Arizona)
* Must meet all other AZ P.O.S.T minimum qualifications prior to appointment or attending an academy
* Must have successfully completed the physical agility test
* Must successfully complete the examination process
* May be required to undergo a psychological examination

Note: Assignment opportunities are available statewide. Occasional overtime and overnight travel may be required. Incumbent will be assigned to one of three shifts and may be rotated, as necessary. Incumbent will also successfully meet all AZ Post Certification Requirements. A background investigation is required. Upon successful completion of training and certification as a peace officer and completion of probation, the incumbent is promoted to the ECD Full Authority Field Officer position.

Note: This position requires possession of a valid Arizona Class D Driver License. Candidates for this position must complete and sign the Driver Form on page 6 of the State of Arizona Application for Employment at the time of interview, which will allow ADOT to obtain the candidate's motor vehicle record (MVR). The most recent 39-month period shown on the MVR will be reviewed in accordance with A.A.C. R2-10-207.12 (H) and (I). The review must show an acceptable driving record prior to any offer of employment being made by ADOT. Employment is contingent upon an acceptable MVR.
