DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the efficient and timely review of loan files, preparation of closing documents, and verification of loan file and closing document accuracy prior to funding.

DUTIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities -- Communicate with loan officer, processor, and closing company regarding the loan closing.Review mortgage loan files to ensure consistency, underwriting conditions, investor interest rate lock, and regulatory compliance requirements.Prepare closing documents in compliance with program and investor guidelines by finishing input to processing system.Prepare balance sheet and email as an estimate of fees to required parties (i.e., Escrow, Real Estate Loan Officer, and Mortgage Loan Processor).Submit the closing documents to the processor for review.Make corrections to the closing documents after review by the processor, if applicable.Review HUD Settlement Statement for accuracy in accordance with investor and regulatory guidelines.Review signed loan documents for accurate signatures, notary, underwriting conditions, documents, etc.Prepare funding requests.Enter loan and accounting information into core banking system.Register loans on the Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS).Complete the certification on all funded loans in accordance with HMDA.Prepare real estate commission worksheets.Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior residential mortgage loan closing experience preferred.
