Emerging Verticals is a strong, high-energy team in North America with one of the most exciting charters at eBay. This group has the opportunity to look across eBay.com’s existing and potential businesses to identify key categories with outstanding growth prospects. Members of this team then act as entrepreneurial general managers to realize that potential—partnering with leaders across the company and pulling levers including Business Development, Pricing, Product, Marketing and Merchandising. The intern role will be focused on ensuring the success of significant near-term initiatives in one of our top priority categories. Responsibilities are likely to include competitor / industry research, quantitative & qualitative analysis of user behavior, translating customer insights into initiative plans, and executing in partnership with cross-functional teams to get ideas live to site.
The ideal candidate for this role will bring infectious energy and a strong understanding of both the art and the science of eCommerce. He/she will make data-driven decisions, be capable of building strong working relationships with industry leaders and partners within the company and delight in moving from ideas to tangible results.

· MBA candidate or equivalent from top school
· Demonstrated ability in building the business case for new products/services
· Demonstrated strengths in problem-solving, creative thinking, and project management
· Strong interpersonal skills and comfort presenting to senior executives
· Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
· Thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to juggle multiple priorities
· Passion for e-commerce. Prior experience in e-commerce a plus, but not required
