Position Summary:
UNM Extended University seeks a committed, self-motivated, highly capable individual to serve as its Finance Manager. The position will provide financial, administrative, consultative, research and technical support for the unit that facilitates UNM distance education programs and services. The position advises the Vice Provost and other administrators. The position requires the ability to develop short- and long-range goals and objectives, perform enrollment and productivity analyses, analyze trends and perform forecasting, and develop budget. The position requires the ability to direct and oversee fiscal operations and policy development, including internal controls and fiscal fiduciary management, enrollment tracking, business modeling, and technical analysis. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:
Skill in finance operations of complex organizations Significant budgeting experience, including planning, forecasting, and strategizing Significant fiscal management experience Experience monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting revenue Accounting proficiency, especially researching and resolving problems Proficiency in UNM Banner, Hyperion, budget and salary processes Knowledge of UNM policies and procedures, especially those related to budgeting, tuition & fees revenue, purchasing, faculty contracts, payroll, and human resources Skill in the use of data systems for the compilation, analysis, and interpretation of data Proficiency in Microsoft, especially Excel and Word Private Sector Experience
