The individual will be responsible for the following activities:
The Packaging Supervisor oversees, plans and coordinates packaging lines operations and activities on a daily basis to achieve packaging goals. Establishes, reviews and executes the packaging plan based on available resources; lines, machines, people and materials. The Packaging Supervisor executes overall Packaging Department Strategies to meet Department Goals & Objectives as Productivity, Packaging Reliability, Attendance, Vacations, Organizational Development, Safety, Quality and Cost while maintains a highly developed and motivated team. The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for the effective and efficient Packaging Operation in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs and Plant and Corporate Policies. The Packaging Supervisor is a role model of WC values inspiring, motivating and facilitating Packaging Colleagues to have an excel performance.
The Packaging Supervisor is highly organized, responsible and capable to work in a fast paced environment while keeping attention to details. The Packaging Supervisor harmonizes technical knowledge and interpersonal relationship within the Packaging Department. The Packaging Supervisor is a Team Player with excellent skills of communication, negotiation, problem solver and always is looking for different and better alternatives to perform the packaging activities and processes.
*Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering or any other degree in the field of science.
*Five (5) years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging operations.
*Three (3) year of supervisory experience of packaging operations
*Experience developing quality investigation and identifying and implementing corrective and preventive actions, SOPs and PBRs.
*Experience enforcing progressive discipline.
*Experience implementing productivity measuring tools as OEE.
*Knowledge of GMPs, APR, SPC, IOQ, PQ, Product transfer, new machinery and processes Start-up, Packaging Specifications development.
*Fully bilingual (English and Spanish). Requires reading professional literature and technical manuals; speaking to groups of employees, other public and private groups; writing documents and complex reports in English and Spanish.
*omputer knowledge, including word processing, presentation, worksheets, SPC, project management software and electronic mail
*Strong preparing presentations
*Knowledge of cGMP’s, SPC and safety regulations
*Highly organized and strong documentation skills
*Capable to develop detailed investigation, root cause analysis and problem solving.
*Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma trained preferred
