Interact with clients for slides / blocks and histology testing Accession consultations Prepare, log and route slides / blocks requested by other pathology departments Prepare, log and route slides requested for QA Interact with warehouse for tracking all slides / blocks incoming and outgoing Log consultation slides and route to appropriate pathologists Retrieve consultation letters, route to appropriate pathologist, and compile concur QA Send blocks / slides for outside testing as well as retrieve all required data Monitor log for return of outgoing material; contact facilities for delayed returns Monitor log for receipt of consultation reports and timed return of incoming consultation material Monitor incoming test results for pending orders; contact labs for retrieval of pending reports Send appropriate material for imaging Perform data entry Routine clerical duties including filing, faxing, preparing billing copies, processing fax requests for slides / blocks / testing to include interacting with clients / labs for retrieval of all required data. Collect information related to client inquires or complaints and communicate to Client Services Representative for follow-up and response. Must be familiar with corporate policies and procedures. Must be familiar with Corporate Compliance Program and Corporate Policies. All other assigned duties. High school diploma or GED is required. 6 months to one year of prior job-related experience is preferred. Medical terminology knowledge preferred Good phone and communication (written and verbal) skills are required. Typing skills of 60 wpm Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Hours: M-F 8:30am - 5pm*Education will be verified prior to employment. Please be prepared to provide required information and/or documentation.
