Brief Description: The Membership Development Coordinator works with the Membership Development Manager to help coordinate and implement membership recruitment campaigns, membership retention initiatives, and member benefits and services (affinity programs) in accordance with the department’s strategic plan. Duties include but are not limited to: Job Duties: - Assist with various membership recruitment and retention campaigns, including coordinating direct mail and email campaigns and tracking response rates. - Promote 100% Club membership to Residency Training Programs and work closely with training programs and APA staff to ensure implementation of membership benefits. - Serve as primary point of contact for prospective members and mailing of prospective member packets.
Assist with the development of membership recruitment and promotional materials. - Assist with maintaining and updating the Membership Department’s website content. - Explore ways to use social media platforms to recruit new members. - Coordinate material shipments for exhibiting at APA Annual Meeting and for APA Exhibits at other conferences to promote APA Membership.
Work closely with the Membership Development Manager to retain members in at-risk groups, especially Early Career Psychiatrists (ECPs) and Minority and Under-represented psychiatrists (MURs). - Coordinate promotion of membership benefits and services (affinity programs) and research new programs with guidance from the Membership Committee. - Assist with membership related requests from District Branches/State Associations and APA staff and other duties as assigned.
