This individual will coordinate public relations and marketing efforts to address the promotional needs of individual physicians, clinics, and the Medical Group as a whole in an assigned region. Working closely with Medical Group Administration, this position is heavily involved in building relationships with local, civic, state and community organizations, including media. The individual works to increase the awareness of the community with regard to Medical Group facilities, physicians and services offered in the region and will organize and coordinate activities and events to promote these services.

Job Essentials:
  • Develops and implements regional marketing plan and strategy
  • Works with Clinic Managers to implement site-specific marketing strategies
  • Coordinates marketing events for all new physicians and midlevel recruits
  • Works to improve employed physician relationships with non-employed groups
  • Promotes services and physicians at new facilities
  • Promotes expansion projects
  • Markets new services in the region
  • Involved with community chamber meetings to promote Intermountain Medical Group services
  • Works with corporate e-business department to implement web-based strategies
  • Builds relationships with newspaper editors and staff for ongoing media coverage
  • Promotes Intermountain Medical Group at community events
  • Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives (i.e. CQI, TQM, Lean, 100% participation, etc.)
**This is a part time position to work Monday and Wednesday 8-5 and Friday 8-Noon

Minimum Requirements
  • One year marketing/sales experience in health care setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or similar field (such as: English, journalism, public relations, marketing, etc.); Education is verified and degree must be obtained through an accredited institution
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and networking skills
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to design and implement marketing/business plans
  • Ability to plan and coordinate community-based events and activities
  • Able to work independently with guidance and direction from Administrative team
Physical Requirements
  • Carrying, Hearing / Listening, Manual Dexterity, Seeing, Sitting, Speaking
Preferred Qualifications
  • Public relations experience, demonstrated previous work experience in a marketing, advertising or promotional role
  • Knowledge of web-based marketing
