Duties & Responsibilitie s
Under the direction of the 1st Shift supervisor, this position is responsible for;

1.
Maintain a positive working attitude and environment

2.
Coordinate work assignments with employees within departments and lines to support on-time completion of production schedules

3.
Assist department and employees

4.
Focus on product quality, safety, productivity, and process control

5.
Document and maintain department and productivity metrics

6.
Follow-up on accuracy of process documentation

7.
Perform quality checks

8.
Investigate & perform root cause analysis on line & material shortages

9.
Report and respond to product and process nonconformance issues

10.
Train and mentor other employees

11.
Maintain tool boards and equipment

12.
Perform 5S audits

13.
Perform fixture maintenance and preparation

Education & Experience
1.
High School Diploma required, Advanced technical degree or training preferred

2.
Minimum 5 years recent and related experience

3.
Advanced Mechanical and/or Electrical skills a must

4.
Experience with computer systems, data entry systems, and generating reports.

5.
Requires knowledge of shop floor control procedures and reports, scheduling practices, and ability to lead

6.
Ability to problem solve

7.
Ability to maintain positive attitude and safe work environment

Equipment: Tools, Metatarsal safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods, lifting multiple pounds regularly
