Prepares child support cased for court; assists attorney's in court; conducts interviews with custodial and non-custodial parents for paternity cases if needed. Schedules cases for administrative process conferences and negotiate consent agreements. Utilizes child support guidelines and prepares appropriate orders. Performs and locate activity as required. Handles correspondence and telephone inquires relating to Child Support Enforcement. Also supervises Human Services Specialist II.

Ability to organize and maintain large caseload.
Ability to enter information into a computer.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

NOTE: Requires commission as Notary Public within designated period (generally three (3) months) of employment.

NOTE: Must possess a valid Driver's License.
NOTE: You may be required to drive your personal vehicle from time to time in the performance of duties associated with this position.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:
STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(NOTE: ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS MAY BE APPLICABLE FOR INDIVIDUAL POSITIONS IN THE EMPLOYING AGENCY.)

A Bachelor's Degree and relevant program experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Master's Degree in Social Services, Social Welfare or Behavioral Science.

A Master's Degree in any other field and one (1) year of professional experience in human services or social services programs.

A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare or Behavioral Science and one (1) year of professional experience in human services or social services programs.

A Bachelor's Degree in any other field and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs.

Selected positions may prefer supervisory experience.
