Edelman Portland is seeking a dynamic Assistant Account Executive (AAE) to support our growing corporate PR team. In this position, you’ll work on a diverse range of corporate, public affairs, consumer, health and non-profit clients, learning from the best communications professionals in the industry. The AAE should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, proficiency with Microsoft Office, excellent organization skills, and the ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines. S/he must have a strong work ethic and dedication to consistently providing quality work. Previous internship or similar experience is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
An AAE must have good interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively within a large team across multiple accounts. Time management skills are a must. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate hunger for exploring new aspects of communications, curiosity about clients’ industries and tenacity for tackling challenging assignments.
- Provide client service administration support; attend meetings, handle scheduling, logistics and provide billing support
- Research, compile and analyze client media coverage
- Write, edit and proofread materials, including press releases, pitch letters, fact sheets and client correspondence
- Apply general knowledge of social media tools to client programs
- Build lists and pitch media
- Help supervise interns/trainees
- Participate in new business proposals, including research and proposal preparation
- Commit to continuous learning through Edelman University and other training opportunities
