We are seeking experienced Java software engineers who are interested in joining a rapidly growing software solutions business. This business is developing unique technologies that solve pressing Customer requirements for operational resiliency and mission assurance. The experienced Software Engineer for this position will develop software and lead a team of software engineers creating next generation cyber mission assurance solutions. The candidate will drive project deliverables and coordinate with Boeing leadership and Customers. The Software Engineer reports to and receives high level direction from the Business Manager. The Software Engineer will analyze requirements, system architectures, and operational concepts and create system software designs and implementations. Responsibilities include programmatic and technical interactions with various internal and external customers. Travel is planned to coordinate with customers and partners, though the majority of time is expected to be worked at the Herndon facility. This position requires proficiency in the following areas: -- Java 1.6+ standard and enterprise development -- Agile software development team lead experience, such as SCRUM leader -- Experience meeting Customer contract deliverables -- Experience with a variety of software development practices; -- ANT, Maven, or other build tools experience.

This position requires that you work out of Herndon, Virginia. Do you currently reside in the Herndon, Virginia area (where relocating would not be required) or are you willing to relocate at your own expense?

Typical Education/Experience

Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
