The Systems and Technology Solutions Business Unit of SAIC, Inc. in Huntsville, AL has an opening for a Training Development Specialist at Fort Gordon, GA.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Must possess a DoD Secret security clearance. Responsible for Implementing and operating training programs, practices and procedures for training personnel. Designs and administers training programs to train all levels of personnel. The Training Specialist shall also support exercises and experiments used to develop The Network Digital Master Gunner Course capabilities, procedures, processes, techniques, and tactics. The specialist shall provide professional level planning and functional expertise to support government customers on government capabilities and processes. This includes, but is not limited to, on-site support to customers prior to and during exercises on the capabilities of the government in supporting multiple types of events (e.g., tests, exercises) for the customer. May be responsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of training curriculum to instruct customer personnel on the utilization of customer products or services. Responsible for creation of course content, training materials and documentation that may include educational technology such as Computer Base Training (CBT) or Web Base Training (WBT). May be responsible for conducting individualized or classroom training sessions. The Training Specialist shall research, analyze, validate and document related training requirements. The specialist shall also develop training plans, curriculums, and materials as required to support fielding of the VISION capability. Adds content to Blackboard. Provides additional options for delivering training, education, and information through both instructor-led and "on-demand" courses.. Creates and revises training materials by performing instructional design, development, validation and evaluation based on criteria using the Systems Approach to Training process and methods documented in training, education and training technology publications. Training course design includes mandatory training sequence, course length, lesson outlines and learning objectives, resource requirements, Student Evaluation Plan, Course Map, test items and test design, scripts and storyboards as appropriate, Course Management Plan, Program of Instruction, Course Administrative Data, and revised Individual Training Plan for both Active Component and Reserve Component courses. Training course development includes validated, approved materials such as training support packages, lesson plans, media, performance and performance-based exams, practical exercises, study guides, student handouts, and information sheets. Constructs and validates criterion-referenced tests based on training objectives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: Current Secret Security clearance. Systems Approach to Training certified. Prior Military training in training development. Bachelors degree (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree) and 3+ years of related experience in Program of Instruction POI development, Lessons Plans, Training support packages (TSP), Terminal and enabling objectives (TLO's and ELO's). The timeline associated with the establishment of the training strategies and related materials is aggressive and requires a thorough knowledge of current and planned activities associated with both programs. Personnel must, possess experience with Microsoft office products. Additionally, they must, have experience using the following application software: MS Office, Common database interfaces.

DESIRED SKILLS: Knowledgeable on Brigade Combat Team S6 procedures, Army Battlefield Command Systems ABCS, Battle Command Common Services BCCS, Command Post of the Future CPOF. Integration of Battle Command Software in support of Digital Operations. Develop and validate digital training requirements, ensure technical integration of ABCS software functionality and shared data feeds. Validate and document new versions of software for training impacts. Instructor training course desired but not needed. Knowledge and exposure to currently deployed or future DOD systems is highly desired; such as: FCS, C2PC, FBCB2, TOC, AFATDS, ASAS, DCGS, CPOF, and BCS. Possess considerable insight into the tactical processing architecture to include system functions, integration, and employment of system capabilities.
