ROLE:
This position is responsible for processing settlements and fails with broker dealers, DTC, and foreign custodians. The value of movements within the settlements area is millions daily, and can approach $1B. TDA's ability to meet daily settlement obligations is critical to the financial wellbeing of the firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process, reconcile, and execute settlement of firm assets totaling $500M to $1B daily within the department.

Communicate via email, phone, and written correspondence to transfer agents, foreign custodians, broker dealers, and DTC, regarding processing, reconciliation, and settlement of firm assets

Responsible for employing Settlements processing guidelines in evaluating client request, using discretion when necessary.

Analysts must use their own judgment in organizing and prioritizing work, deferring to a supervisor only for matters related to exceptions and unique circumstances.

Settlements handles millions of dollars in assets daily, in both physical and non-physical form.

Settlements handles settlements and transfers of assets through DTCC, Transfer Agents, Foreign Custodians, Investment sponsors, and Broker Dealers. The large value of these asset movements also includes a large amount of risk exposure to the firm, related to both monetary as well as regulatory risks.

REQUIREMENTS:
2 year college degree or equivalent experience.

1 to 3 years directly related experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to process and solve problems, answer questions, and maintain continuity of normal workflows despite frequent interruptions.

Ability to provide accurate, courteous and efficient support to internal and external Clients.

Capable of handling multiple, complex tasks simultaneously.

Possess strong organizational and problem solving skills and an ability to handle high-pressure situations while making accurate judgment decisions.

Ability to adapt quickly and accurately to changes and revisions of current policy.

Possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently with frequent interruptions.

Ability to adjust quickly and efficiently to changes in a fast paced environment.

Ability to effectively prioritize work based on business conditions.

Understand and maintain up-to-date resources and/or reference materials and effectively utilize them when assisting specialists with account resolutions.

Ability to gather, compile, and analyze information from multiple systems.

Must demonstrate willingness to learn new procedures and seek out new opportunities.

Identify opportunities to improve service delivery processes. Ensure that a Client centric approach is maintained and that alternate solutions are utilized.

Demonstrates sense of urgency and commitment to provide the highest level of service possible.

Recognize opportunities for improvement and recommend changes in current processes or procedures to enhance personal and organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

Willingness to participate in professional education to expand knowledge base for the handling of more advanced inquiries.

Ability to produce high quality results while working both independently and collaboratively.
