Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development and leads the execution of the IS Configuration Management strategy, policies, standards, processes, and work instructions
  • Leads the design, implementation and population of the CMDB tool
  • Defines, administers, and maintains the CMDB data model including CI entities, attributes, and relationships
  • Defines requirements and develops reports for CI data analysis, audits, and metrics
  • Defines, generates, and distributes reports for CI baseline, status accounting, relationships, audit results, and other inquires as required
  • Works with Application teams to develop and maintain System Configuration Management Plans
  • Works with IS Quality to develop periodic audit process for verifying the CMDB data against physical inventories and other sources of information
  • Conducts periodic audits of the Configuration Management activities and CMDB for compliance and addresses any deviations
  • Coordinates with Change Management to ensure changes to CIs have been approved, coordinated, and documented appropriately
  • Develops and delivers Configuration Management training

Required Skills:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or relevant work experience, is required.

  • ITIL Foundations required
  • 6+ years in a Configuration Management role. Preferably leading Configuration Management process
  • 6+ years of hands on experience in an IT related function
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and auditing a CMDB.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing ITIL based Configuration Management Plans, processes and procedures.
  • Familiar with automated discovery tools
  • Demonstrated experience developing metrics and reports
  • Experience preparing and giving training and presentations
  • ServiceNow (CMDB) expert + ITIL needed

  • + All mandatory requirements

Preferred Skills:

  • ITIL Intermediate certification(s)
  • Experience working in a regulated environment - GxP/FDA/21CFR Part 11
