Shared Services-Trade Compliance: DOB

Purpose and Summary of the Position:

This position will contribute regulatory trade compliance including; import/export regulatory oversight control, guidance for BIS/OGA(Bureau of Industry and Security, Other Government Agencies) compliance, and security program certification maintenance. Additionally, the successful candidate will:
  • Develop programmatic control oversights to support regulatory compliance function interface with Business Lines
  • Perform Sr. level compliance recommendations regarding; classification, valuation, special programs, and record keeping
  • Proactively offer solutions toward improved regulatory communication
  • Interpret and translate regulatory changes using Trade Technology and external trade sources.
  • Advance globally designed process improvements as provided by Audit, Training, Trade Optimization, and Security

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Candidates must have a four-year degree in Business, International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field with at least 5 years professional experience in Trade Compliance
  • Knowledge of business operations related to supply chain
  • Knowledge of BIS/FDA/DEA and other OGA regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to author compliance documentation
  • Fluent in English

Desired Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
  • Chemical manufacturing background a plus
  • Systems and process development
  • International Trade and/or Supply Chain experience
  • Knowledge of Trade Compliance system
  • Knowledge of International Trade Systems (i.e. GTS, AES, ATLAS, GDM, etc.)
  • Knowledge of SAP systems (sales and distribution functions)
