THE CLIENT Five wineries in South Eastern Tennesee located within 12 miles of each other in the heart of America°s favorite vacation spot, the Great Smoky Mountains! Position Description: Assists in and supports all requested needs of the Executive Winemaker (EW) and the Director of Operations with all compliance, including regulatory agencies of the federal, state, and county governments. The position will be tracking, compiling, and reporting internal and external information to the regulatory agencies; and aids in the strategy of the Winery. Areas of Inventory Control including ordering, receiving, invoicing of materials and proper inventory levels would also fall under this position.

Location: The wineries are located 42 miles south of Knoxville, TN and right outside of Gatlinburg, Tennessee Reporting Relationships: Vice President of Operations and Owner Essential Job Duties: As the Compliance Manager, this individual will provide proactive and direct compliance support to the Executive Winemaker and to the Director of Winemaking. In a winery of moderate size, specific responsibilities are numerous, but would include and not limited to: Establish and maintain compliance processes, procedures, and protocols. Resolves issues and shepherds Compliance Projects through to their completion in coordination with the EW. Will involve extensive contact with all internal Winery Departments – and with External Compliance Contacts, such as the TTB, the Tennessee ABC, legal firms, and county government.

Handling incoming R"R compliance calls and departmental emails related to same, excellent telephone etiquette and email correspondence is essential. Creates compliance correspondence on behalf of the EW and the Winery. Schedules meetings and manages all compliance filings needed by the Winery. Organizing and maintaining records and company files; records compliance meeting discussions; as well as following up on action items from such meetings.

Monthly reporting on inventory, both wine and materials Maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive operational and business materials and files. Completing projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, solving problems, and monitoring project progress and success. Establish and manage a user-friendly confidential file hierarchy on the computer network to enable this role " the EW to recover and locate needed information. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Professional Skills/Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Professionalism in all aspects of work product and client contact.

Excellent service skills and demonstrable experience. Absolute discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
