The purpose of the Staffing Coordinator position is to perform responsible administrative work in a primary functional area of assignment, such as regular staffing, daily schedule, payroll input, and managing attendance. Employees in this class perform duties in accordance with established regulations and policies.
Responsible for assisting in the daily staffing requirements of all nursing units.
The staffing coordinator functions under the organization of Nursing Service and the Assistant CNO, while performing other duties to fulfill the requirements of the mentioned department and other departments that are appropriate within his/her skill sets.
High School Graduate or hold a GED certificate
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in staffing and at least 1 year in a clinical setting such as hospital or nursing home. Demonstrate ability to work in a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health care team members. Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills using the English language required. Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and use creative and organized approaches to completing work. Independent judgment, organizational ability and initiative are required. PC skills for word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software required. Superior communication and interpersonal skills are required.
