We are currently looking for a Human Resources Specialist, New Hire Support to join our flight kitchen operations team located at the Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Specialist, New Hire Support will be the central point of contact for new hires as they transition into the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Orientation scheduling, coordination, facilitation and documentation.
Gives kitchen/work area tours.
Introduces new hires to the key staff and management.
Mentor Program; assignments, documentation and follow-up.
Ensures first two-weeks training assignment.
Coordinates new hire performance review/feedback process.
Leads New Employee assessment program and documentation.
Works with Operations management as a team member.
Work schedule will vary to include 25% off shift.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent.
An Associate's degree preferred.
A Bachelor's degree a plus.
Must have some experience in Human Resources and Training.
Experience in Organizational Development preferred.
Staffing agency, experience with mass hiring and/or business administrative support preferred.
Experience in airline and/or commercial kitchen a plus.
Experience working in a labor/union environment a plus.
Job Skills and Abilities
Must have strong people skills.
Must have the ability to facilitate learning and document Windows Office Suite.
Working knowledge of ATS a plus, preferably Taleo.
Must have excellent oral and written skills.
Must be able to communicate with all levels from front line to senior management.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
PHR a plus.
This position requires working in an office setting and frequent exposure to heat and cold.
Frequent walking through the unit are required.
Long periods of standing, sitting and speaking are required.
