The Supply Chain Analyst position located in Houston, TX will be part of the Hess E&P Global Supply Chain (GSC) Team working in the Global Materials Management Group. This position will be responsible for accounting for all controllable drilling material and material-related services driving real time cost delivery through timely processing of SAP purchase requisitions (PR's), purchase orders (PO's), and goods receipts (GR's), preparing reports for forecasting and inventory key performance indicators (KPI's), and assisting with well reconciliations and surplus inventory disposals.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Drilling & Completions team to understand business needs/requirements and define GSC services needed to address these needs.
Provide support to Global Drilling & Completions team
Process SAP material and service PR's, PO's, GR's, and material transfers
Approve and code invoices for payment
Complete well reconciliations
Work end of project surplus inventory and disposition
Assist with inventory KPI reporting
Schedule, perform, and reconcile yearly yard inventories
Monitor and clear materials suspense account
Work with Audit relating to inventory issues
Work inventory related special projects
Computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong understanding of SAP Materials Module
Strong understanding of accounting procedures
Strong analytical skills, ability to understand strategies and business-related concepts
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to perform under pressure and to adjust to changing priorities
Ability to expand role and take on more responsibility over time for professional development
Ability to work alone or on a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3-5 years professional work experience
Knowledge of drilling material and COPAS controllable equipment a plus
Inventory skills, to include accounting processes and procedures
Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Distribution strongly desired; relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of education
Advanced degree would be considered a plus
