Apple Sales Planning & Operations (SP&O) is seeking a Sr. Manager of Sales Operations for it's Education (EDU) Sales Operations organization with expert experience in streamlining sales support processes and improving sales productivity. The EDU Sales Operations organization is responsible for supporting and enabling the US Education Sales Division in it's go-to-market sales models for K12 and HiEd markets. These sales models include a blend of direct sales, inside sales, and indirect sales through Apple Authorized Campus Stores in the HiEd market.

The EDU Sales Operations team consists of first-line Managers as well as Individual Contributors. Successful candidates will have experience managing a sales operations/programs driven organization. Success in the role also requires the ability to work effectively and efficiently across multiple organizations. As a Sr.

Manager in the operations organization, you will be working closely with the EDU Executive Sales Management team, EDU field sales leadership, EDU Finance, Sales Compensation, Legal, Bids & Contracts, Apples' Sales Support Organization, as well as other key stakeholders. There is some travel associated with the role. Most travel will be to the Apple office in Austin, but would usually be limited to 1-2 times per quarter.A successful candidate may have sales experience on their resume, but must have spent time directly interacting with and supporting the success of a sales organization. Additional background experience may include sales force development, and the development of tools that facilitate the execution of a divisional sales plan.The duties and responsibilities generally fall across the following the areas: Sales Planning & Compensation- Territory planning and coverage systems management- Collaboration with Executive Sales Management and Finance in design and evaluation of sales compensation models- Customer eligibility policies and compliance- Supporting the effectiveness of all sales processes (Contracts, Bids, New Account, Order Management, etc.)Forecasting, Sales Reporting and Sales Analytics- Management of sales forecasting for Division, and creation/communication of associated business rules- Run-rate pipeline forecasting and management- Sales reporting for Division and throughout sales hierarchy (Excel, Business Objects, etc)- Field and Inside Sales analytics (Excel, BusinessObjects, etc.)- Support of demand generation activities through data reporting and analyticsSales Tools and Systems- Division-level tools in support of sales and sales programs- Coordination with Apple Business Process Reengineering (BPR) on geo or worldwide systems (Requirements definition through deployment)Product Sales Operations- Coordination with Apple Supply & Demand Management for Division supply and allocation- Custom customer manufacturing services (Imaging, etching, asset tagging, etc.)- Software volume licensing operational support- Third-party product sales support and managementAccountability and Performance Measures include, but are not limited to: - Responsible to manage a support staff made up of Administrative Specialists, Sales Operations Coordinators or Analysts, and Managers- Accountable for the development and delivery of timely sales metrics and analysis essential for sales organization effectiveness- Responsible for the development and execution of EDU Divisions' forecast process and supporting business rules- Accountable for the on-time implementation of sales organization coverage, quotas and performance objectives- Accountable for the thorough implementation of sales organization-impacting initiatives- Responsible for the efficient allocation of technology, support, and training resources impacting the sales organization- Responsible for supporting the Division in strategic product allocation, SDM processes, and NPI processes- Achievement of strategic objectives defined by company management- Fosters close, cooperative relationships with peer leaders, sales management, and sales and support personnel Imagine what you could do here.
