The Quality Engineer will manage first time yield improvement, nonconformance and scrap reduction for a commercial engine program. In this role, you will be integral in establishing a quality system for successful New Product Introduction (NPI). You will be a site focal / expert to conduct Root cause analysis and be an integral member of the Quality committee, managing projects and seeking team involvement.
In addition, you will:
Support and meet production schedules, driving productivity, and quality initiatives, and manage the areas within budget guidelines and controls
Determine the proper manufacturing processes for assembly, machining, inspection, and test of required components
Support all initiatives of compartment assembly areas, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
Encourage and maintain a safe work environment
Schedule, resolve issues, track availability, and advise regarding materials
Design and implement processes and systems for control and replenishment of materials
Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships
Be responsible for attaining all aspects of production operation including quality, lean, and team development in assigned areas
Provide direction, leadership, and material support for assigned production area
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of 4 additional years of manufacturing experience in a manufacturing role)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Ability to make data driven decisions and utilize Six Sigma and Lean tools
Knowledge of safety agency regulations
Strong background in the interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications and manufacturing processes
Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Leadership Program Graduate (GE employees only)
Ability to manage multiple assignments
Knowledge of ISO / quality procedures
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Solid oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
