This individual will assist with the staffing and onboarding needs of our service companies. Under the supervision and support of the corporate Human Resources department, the HR Assistant will contribute in maintaining a “service-oriented,” fully functional field HR operation. Candidates should meet the following requirements for consideration:
Ability to work with and secure highly confidential data, information and records.
Ability to quickly and effectively learn federal and state employment laws through on the job training.
Demonstrated ability to handle high volume activity at a fast pace.
Ability to quickly and effectively learn human resources policies, procedures and processes.
Ability to work up to 10 hours of overtime weekly.
Activities will include interviewing, application review, background screening, pre-employment drug testing and physicals, reference checking, employee selection and placement, new employee orientation, maintaining HR files, and processing of employee status change events.
Requirements include a High School Diploma, two (2) years of college, and minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience. College degree preferred. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail oriented individual who is able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced changing environment. Candidate must be professional in presentation and interaction with others, flexible, team-oriented, proactive and responsible. Position requires spreadsheet and office application tools competencies (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as exceptional oral and written communication skills.
