Position Title: Clinical Supervisors Company Name: Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus Location: Brooklyn, NY 11201 Speech & Hearing Clinic Full & Part Time LIU Brooklyn Located in downtown Brooklyn, N.Y., LIU Brooklyn offers nearly 160 associate, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and certificate programs in one of New York City's most diverse and thriving urban communities. Maintains assigned daily treatment and /or diagnostic caseload in collaboration with graduate student clinicians at DBSLHC and its affiliated satellites as determined by the Clinic Administrator. Principal Responsibilities:
• Engages in direct supervision, collaborative planning and review of client treatment goals and progress with graduate clinicians for all assigned clients
• Completes mid-term and final semester evaluation forms on all students.
• Reviews and manages all related professional paperwork that pertains to clients:
• Diagnostic reports
• Weekly Session Plans
• Daily Progress notes
• Annual management plans
• Semester Summaries
• IFSPs
• IEPS
• Discharge Summaries
• Completes monthly billing records and attendance forms
• Attends periodic supervision training meetings and semester student review meetings Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology; New York State License in Speech-Language Pathology; New York State License in Teacher of Students with Speech-Language Disabilities; New York State License in Teacher of Students with Speech-Language Disabilities, (with Bilingual Extension (native or near native fluency in Spanish preferred); Certification from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association; must maintain State License and Certification by obtaining 30 hours of continuing education within each 3-year period. Two years of direct clinical experience and one year of experience in clinical supervision, preferred. Knowledge and skills necessary to work with assigned clients as outlined by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. The full-time administrative candidate will work in either the Brooklyn Campus Clinic or one of the affiliated satellite sites. Clinical Supervisor must purchase Mal-Practice insurance at their own cost and be finger-printed by the Department of Education. Responsible for payment of own State Licensure and ASHA Certification. The part-time administrative candidate (17.5 hours) will work in either the Brooklyn Campus Clinic or one of the affiliated satellite sites.
