Job Description:

Raytheon’s Business Development organization is looking for a Proposal Coordinator to support a wide variety of tasks in support of proposal production and proposal development database administration.
Responsibilities of this position will be:
o
Develop production schedules and setup the Proposal tree structure.
o
Coordinate production color reviews, proposal graphics, print shop scheduling and shipping.
o
Assist production managers and staff in the development of Proposals and ECPs, project planning and desktop publishing support tasks.
o
Interface with outside vendor and perform testing of new software database versions
o
Determine format standards/templates to be in compliance with Section L of RFP
o
Facilitate production kickoff meeting.
o
Obtain all resources needed to produce Color team versions/final deliverables.
o
Coordinate the use and access of the proposal database along with Just in Time training on proposal development the IIS Virtual Proposal Center (VPC) tool.
o
Coordinator will review and provide critical analysis of written drafts for compliance with all customer RFP/RFQ requirements, and will analyze how well a draft follows an outline, communicates themes, and conveys a message.

Candidate will have ability to coordinate written input and develop proposal sections (e.g., executive summary, past performance, management). Candidate will advise proposal writers and team in matters of writing style, naming conventions, syntax, references and terminology used in proposal documents and briefings to improve the general quality and effectiveness of communications. Coordinator may be asked to assist with presentations, web-based content, project planning, desktop publishing support tasks and other business development initiatives.

Required Skills:

2-4 years of applicable experience
•
Experience in working proposals or responses to customer solicitations
•
Proficiency with MS Word
•
Willing to travel up to 25%
•
Willing to work overtime as needed on critical proposals

Desired Skills:
•
Experience with Intravation Virtual Proposal Center tool.
•
Experience in reading and analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
•
Strong knowledge of English, excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading skills.
•
Ability to coordinate with reviewers, technical staff, and authors to outline, rewrite, edit, and format proposals that fully comply with customer requirements in terms of both content and format.
•
Experience with both traditional editing (red proofreader's marks on paper) and electronic editing (using word processing software).
•
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and work multiple tasks under deadline.
•
Proven ability to be customer focused
•
Team player able to work comfortably with all levels of organization and prime and sub–contractor teammate environments.
•
Experience in establishing, coordinating and implementing review procedures for all proposal documents, presentations and briefings.
•
Ability to enforce deadlines calmly, respectfully, with the emphasis required to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

Proficiency with other MS Office products and Adobe products
•
Experience in coordinating Printing Services
•
Demonstrate creative problem solver skills
Required Education:
Bachelors’ degree in business or related field
or
8 years equivalent combination of education and experience)
Existing TS security clearance may be required based on specific proposal effort
