To support quality assurance and performance management initiatives the Senior Lead Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing software test scripts via automated testing tools in order to identify software problems and their causes. On a daily basis, this role will be developing and documenting test scenarios, test cases, and performing test executions.
This is a performance based position. Performance objectives and indicators have been designed to measure the successful candidate's achievements on a quarterly basis. The employee must meet or exceed these detailed goals as a condition of employment.
Other responsibilities include:
Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as system performance, business scenarios, or usability
Assist in test data preparation and management
Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
Monitor defect resolution efforts and track successes
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Ensure all change management procedures are followed for test phase of major projects
Experience in at least one large scale implementation of version 9.0 (minimum) of PeopleSoft
Experience with data conversion testing
Ability to decipher and comprehend both business and technical documentation
Exceptional written, verbal, problem solving skills
Demonstrated knowledge of HP-Quality Center
Understanding and experience with performance metrics
Ability to assess and utilize performance management tools
Ability to identify, prioritize, resolve and / or escalate problems promptly
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with adherence to deadlines
Understanding of MTA Payroll & Human Resources policies and procedures
Familiarity with performance metrics and ability to meet identified targets
Working knowledge and use of office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office applications) and web-based applications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Computer Science OR a High School Diploma/GED with relevant equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in version 9.0 (minimum) of PeopleSoft Financials/HCM modules
Minimum 5 years of formal software testing experience in planning, writing, and executing functional and system tests of distributed systems within a structured software development
Shared Services experience preferred
