The research nurse position works collaboratively with physicians to manage clinical care of patients participating in oncology research studies
This includes ensuring following the research protocols, consenting patients, managing treatment related side effects, complying with research regulations, and entering accurate and complete data forms
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Current Minnesota RN License
Recent hospital and/or clinical experience within oncology (2 or more years) and experience with data management and research protocols preferred
OCN preferred (must be OCN eligible)
Must be able to command high credibility with health professionals and be able to work directly with a variety of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and patients to ensure accurate and informed participation clinical research projects
A high degree of planning and organizing skills
Ability to work with limited supervision
Ability to train/mentor other staff is required
Candidate should demonstrate past ability to work well as a team member, and should possess sufficient knowledge of computer systems including electronic medical record systems, electronic case report forms, and Microsoft Office products
