Senior Mechanical Designer - Boston, MA

Develops difficult and complex layout and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge, ensuring they meet company and industry standards and codes. The Designer shall be capable of applying the more advanced CAD techniques. Willingness to travel to supplier, client, or construction site locations is expected.
Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare difficult and complex layout and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge. Interprets and ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures. Understands and utilizes more advanced software to complete assignments.
Applies design knowledge in HVAC systems
Works in an interdisciplinary environment as well as independently on a wide variety of projects.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred, as well as 8 years of relevant mechanical systems design experience
Requirements include strong PC and CAD skills, as well as efficiency in utilizing computer software to complete design assignments
Knowledge of HVAC systems
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience using AutoCAD
