The Engineering Planner II will work as part of the Training Program Engineering team supporting Patriot Training programs, under direction from the local Consulting Engineering Planner/Program Engineer as a planner. The position requires strong organizational skills, highly developed communication skills, and attention to detail. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Generate and perform analysis of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for interdependencies, schedule risks, and opportunities.
Provide recommendations to management.
Review program milestone progress on a regular basis.
Provide support in data collection and analysis for proposal preparations, presentation generation, and all other planning activities.
Employ Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to forecast future project performance issues.
Support proposal development by providing technical coordination of the work performed, as well as enforcing the use of development standards, methods, and tools, and product evaluation of engineering content.
Collect financial and deliverable metrics to be reported to the organization and ensure they are stored in the required repositories.
Assist the Program Engineer in defining, monitoring and reporting risks and opportunities.
This posiiton is located in Lawton, OK. There is NO relocation associated with this position. Local candidates strongly preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in project planning/management/scheduling and risk analysis.
Previous experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or other project management process used for evaluating program performance.
Experience in collecting and reporting deliverable metrics
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Proficient (2+ year’s extensive use) in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Proficient (2+ year’s extensive use) in Microsoft Project.
Previous experience in proposal development, to include Basis of Estimate (BOE) development/review.
Previous experience with Training programs.
Previous experience with Air & Missile Defense programs.
Earned Value Management (EVM) certification.
Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist qualified.
Occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required.
Prefer local candidates.
Bachelor’s Degree or additional 8 years of related experience may be substituted for education.
