Large Oil & Gas Company in Northwest Houston is seeking a qualified Manufacturing Cost Accountant!!
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
Prepare warranty reserve provisions and ensure compliance with company’s policy
Prepare obsolescence reserve provisions and ensure compliance with policy.
Manage inventory account reconciliations ensuring accuracy.
Analyze product margins to ensure costing systems are properly reflected.
Prepare monthly entries for:
Closed job variances
Outside Processing or Machining cost variances
Product cost updates
Physical inventory adjustments – Annual, cycle count, or other
Other WIP or posting adjustments necessary
Scrap accruals/reversals
Sales/Cost of Sales adjustments
Review and update ERP systems for machine rates/labor rates/OMC rates
Ensure labor reporting is accurate and timely.
Prepare monthly reporting schedules required – Inventory by Site, Revenues by Site, Shop Stats and respond to queries concerning these reports
Review account reconciliations of all inventory related accounts
Other duties as assigned
Bachelors degree required and 3-5 yrs. Cost accounting experience. Experience in manual cost accounting environment helpful. Must be able to manage large volume of data.
Excellent PC and Excel skills (Pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
