Senior VOIP Engineer

The Sr. VOIP Engineer will Configure SNMP on the current VoIP system and ensure stable day-to-day operation:

o Assist in all aspects of system administration for Linux and Windows when needed

o Apply patches and updates to VOIP servers

o Travel to remote sites to perform installations when needed

o Monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrading the Avaya servers, Circuit Packs and IPTelephones

o Monitor Call Accounting System and run reports as requested

o Work directly with managers, clients or end users to gather

requirements for installations and upgrades, and configuration changes

o Create/Update Network maps in relation to the VOIP network

o Create and implement Caller Applications in Modular Messaging

o Maintain/Analyze/Repair malfunctioning equipment such as those

attached to internal or external ISDN PRI and BRI trunks/lines,

analog lines, OFF-PBX lines (EC500 and IP Soft phones)

o Assist with Call Management Servers, IVR, Voice Conferencing, Call Accounting when needed

Required Skills:
  • 10 years experience providing telecomm experience
  • Experience using Avaya communication server and modular messaging
Desired Skills:
  • Experience using Avaya Aura Communication Manager 6.0,
  • Avaya Modular Messaging 5.2A, vaya Remote LSP S8300/G450 Gateways
  • BS in Communications
