Job Position: Community Support Specialist (Full Time and Part Time available)
Shifts: days, swing, and overnights
Openings in Kent and Renton

Employment Opportunity:
Community Support Specialist (CSS): Responsible for providing support to developmentally disabled adults directly in their homes and in the community. The CSS position provides client support in all daily life activities while teaching independent living skills. Activities include, but are not limited to, completing household duties, cooking meals, banking, grocery shopping, exercising, doctor appointments, administering medications and sustaining optimal hygiene. CSS's also maintain documentation for all tasks completed such as financial forms, medication records, progress notes, and running Individual Instruction Support Plans (IISP), etc.

Job Requirements:
-High School diploma or GED
-Over the age of 18 years old
-Able to work a weekend shift
-Pass a FBI background check looking for misdemeanors and felonies
-Reliable transportation, valid Washington drivers license, and auto insurance (not required for overnight staff)
-Able to read, write, and communicate in English or ASL
-Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
-Able to walk long distances (2-4 miles)

*Paid training is provided for Nurse Delegation Core Training to obtainin a Nursing Assitant Registered, CPR/1st Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen/HIV/AIDS

This position starts at $10.25 per hour, after a successful completion of a 90 day probationary period the pay increases to $10.50 per hour.
