Description and Desired Qualifications CH2M HILL Mechanical Engineering Intern, Energy & Chemicals, – Denver, CO

The Challenge? Help to meet the ever increasing Global demand for Energy. Our Mechanical Engineering Internship will offer you an exciting opportunity to help our Clients provide a safe and reliable source of Energy to heat homes, fuel automobiles, and move goods and services in support of millions of people. Each day you will be part of a professional team that provides design services to our Clients. Our Mechanical Engineering intern will be exposed to a variety of technical and business functions with ever-increasing levels of complexity. You will receive a well-rounded, “real-world" experience while participating in diverse and interesting projects to develop your skills and broaden your experience. You should also have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with this internship opportunity.

Our Mechanical Engineering Interns :
  • Generate and back-check various spreadsheet lists such as equipment lists, pipeline lists, manual valve lists and specialty item lists
  • Generate and back-check Word documents such as equipment specifications
  • Assist with handling and tracking of vendor submittals
  • Generate equipment and piping calculations
  • Work under the direction of a Mechanical Discipline Lead Engineer
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
SPECIAL NOTE: Preference will be given to candidates residing in the greater Denver area.

Basic Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • Applicants must be pursuing a BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field from accredited College or University
  • Applicants must have attained at least Sophomore standing by May, 2013
  • GPA minimum (accumulative): 2.90 (out of 4.0)
