This is a full-time position to provide civil engineering assistance to the civil design department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Establish and document existing conditions at project sites through research and site visits.
2. Perform engineering calculations in support of civil engineering design projects.
3. Perform manual and/or AutoCAD drafting.
4. Coordinate with government agencies, client staff, and other professionals to obtain design information and approvals.
5. Prepare and route project related correspondence and record keeping.
6. Conduct periodic site visits to construction sites to monitor quality and progress of the work.
7. Write and edit construction specifications.
8. Tabulate bid items and calculate construction bid quantities from plans and specifications. Estimate construction costs.
9. Other engineering related duties as assigned.
